People who believe in god are wasting their time; there is no proof for his existence.
As an Atheist I totally agree with this statement, although 80% of the world’s population must disagree. I suppose although there is no hard evidence there are many holy books and scriptures that some would use as evidence for god existing. All could have been made up by anyone with a half decent imagination and a few natural phenomena or could have been made up as a means of making money. Also the diversity of the descriptions of god differs wildly. Who know maybe god is like god in disc world where he appears as you would expect him to and when you die you go where ever you believe you should but there is no proof.
Although I disagree with god existing I agree with his followers moral values, a world without values is a world I chaos. Maybe humans need a higher power to bring them together, if not god it’s the king or shaman. Even though there is no evidence belief is a powerful thing, many have died for their god, and killed. The power of belief is a two edged sword, people will die for good religious causes but would suicide bombers really set off if they didn’t believe they were doing it for god.
What I have conceded in the previous paragraph is only one aspect of religion and to and extent ‘god’. No one could possibly calculate how much money all the various religious institutions have took in over thousands of years, you only have to look at the grander of cathedrals and temples to glimpse at it. The thought of having to pay to be a good person and go to heaven is monstrous, but that was in the middle ages you cry. But consider a poor Hindu family in India, who instead of feeding themselves the offer it to the gods to be a good person.
Some money that you pay to the biblical institutions goes to good causes but most goes to the upkeep of churches and the paying of clergy.
Praying for some thing to happen is a total waste of time, say when in church you prey to those who had people taken away from them in 9/11, donate the money you would of given to the church to one of the family’s who have been devastated by the attack, instead of preying do some thing, don’t offer to the gods give to the people and defiantly don’t waste weeks of your life having someone preach to you how to live your life.

Global warming
Lets start with a biggie. Global Warming, well you don't get a much bigger problem than that. Every year humans spew out more and more carbon-dioxide and other harmful gasses. This is smothering our atmosphere in a blanket of gas which acts as the glass in a greenhouse (hence the greenhouse effect) trapping heat in our atmosphere. This is warming up the world and causing unpredictable weather conditions, 9 out of 10 of the hottest years has happened in my life time.
You may think that its the big companies that are causing it, and we are to insignificant to make a difference. You may think if i leave the computer on at night it won't make a difference others will make up for it. But still after years of lecturing by scientists so many people still think like this, politicians even! We the young will inherit the world, what sort of world do you want to live in when your 50? One filled with pollution and half under water, i don't think so. If we the teens don't lead the way who will? We need to act now to preserve our tomorrows, you don't need to do much, its the simple things that count. Make your household switch to energy saving light bulbs, switch appliances off when you leave the room, walk or cycle to school instead of getting a lift. Its cheaper to go green too your parents will save money on petrol and electricity. If everyone in the UK did this we would save the amount of Co2 as half a million cars.
Think about it and comment.

Come on when was the last time you saw an article in a paper written by a teen? Is it because we don't care about global warming or politics ( well i guess some of you might not ) no. We deserve to have a say, as well as the heavy stuff i will talk about things that you might relate too, but are too embarrassed to talk about.
